"Ty si hudba..., ži s tým!" 

The young soprano Eva Katráková Bodorová comes from Slovakia and is a graduate of the State Conservatory in Bratislava. She is studying at the University of Performing Arts in Bratislava. She won the 1st. prize in many competitions, among others at the Slovak Conservatory Competition. During her studies at the Conservatory she took part in the Imrich Godin International Competition - Iuventus Canti in Vráble (2014), where she became an absolute winner and also won the Prize for Best Interpretation of the 21.st. century work. After this success she won the Competition of conservatories in Bratislava. She was also successful at the Hans Gabor Singing Competition in Vienna's Belvedere and at the Neue Stimmen International Competition in Berlin.

After completing her studies, she won an audition to obtain a two-year scholarship in the opera studio of Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf. She made her debut in the role of Priestess in Verdi's Aida (directed by Philipp Himmelmann, musical direction by Axel Kober and Aziz Shokhakimov) alongside world-famous soloists Boris Staatsenko and Morenike Fadayomi. After success on the boards of Deutsche Oper am Rhein in both Düsseldorf and Duisburg, she also appeared as a Barbarina at Mozart's Figaro Wedding. In the 2015/2016 season she sang the role of The First Nun in Sergei Prokofiev's drama The Fire Angel. She subsequently performed as Echo in the opera Ariadne auf Naxos, conducted by the internationally renowned conductor Wen-Pin Chien. Another role in which the singer successfully presented was Count Ceprano from the opera Rigoletto (G. Verdi). During her two years in the opera studio Deutsche Oper am Rhein, the artist took several singing courses. She soon introduced herself as Queen of the Night at Mozart's The Magic Flute.

After completing her studies, the soprano took part in several concert tours in Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic. In Czech Pardubice she presented in Mozart's Requiem conducted by Peter Feranec. In 2017 she performed concerts in Pesaro, Bergamo, Bologna, Venice and G. Verdi's hometown - Le Roncole. In the season 2017/2018 she made her debut on the stage of the SND Opera with Konstanze in the opera Abduction from the Serail (W. A. ​​Mozart) directed by Ján Ďurovčík and under the musical direction of the conductor Peter Valentovič.

In 2018 she got to the finals of the Antonín Dvořák International Competition in Karlovy Vary. She also performed with great success in the role of Olympia in J. Offenbach's opera Hoffman's Stories at the Slovak National Theater / directed by Pavol Smolík, conductor Tomáš Brauner. The soprano has received an exclusive offer to portray the main role in the world premiere of the Slovak opera by Ľubica Čekovska Impresario Dotcom as part of the Bregenzer Festspiele.

She became the Absolute winner of the Franz Lehár Competition in Komárno in 2019 associated with participation in a gala concert in the operetta theater in Budapest and also the Absolute Winner, 1st place in the Erzsébet Házy International Singing Competition in Nové Zámky for 2019

She is the Absolute Winner of the prestigious SHARON RESCH AWARD competition in Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA, where she competed brilliantly in the competition of 150 singers. A major career contribution in the 2020/2021 season was an alternation with the opera diva Edita Grúberová, as well as the soprano's debut in the role of Queen Elizabeth in the opera by Roberto Devereux (Gaetano Donizetti), at the State Theater in Košice. In the 2021/22 season, the artist performed in several title roles such as the character "Mary" in the Jazz-operetta by Imre Kálmán The Duchess from Chicago conducted by Peter Valentovič. We cannot forget the debut concert at MUPA, in Budapest, where Eva Katráková Bodorová performed in the soprano part of Mahler's 8th symphony. In the same season, a wonderful opportunity arose in the framework of cooperation with the Budapest Opera / Erkel Színház, where Eva Katráková Bodorová had also the opportunity to debut regarding the role of "Queen of the Night". She had her debut again with the role of "Queen of the Night" (W. A. ​​Mozart) also gave the collaboration with the Budapest orchestra, the artist absolvated the japanese tour, where she had the chance to have her debut with the role of "Queen of the Night" under the baton of maestro Kovács János.

In October 2022 she sung the role of Olympia from the opera of 21.th century wrote by Ľubica Čekovská, Impresario Dotcom. This season, at the same time in January 2022, through continuous collaboration with maestro Peter Valentovič, she presented herself at the New Year's Concert, there were presented pieces written by Emmerich Kálmán, Franz Lehár, and Giuseppe Verdi. The artist had a huge success in Landestheater Passau, Germany, where she also debuted the role of Queen Elizabeth I. from the opera Roberto Devereux (G. Donizetti).

She made her debut with this role in March in the 2022 season at the Prague State Theater, where she won the prestigious "Libuška" Critic's Award at the 2022 Musical Theater Festival.

In 2022 she won The price of Cultural Ministery in Slovakia for the role of Queen Elizabeth l. by G.Donizetti and "Dosky" (Plates) Award of Season and also the very special price of the "Literary fund".

Her enormously growing career is also closely connected with the cooperation of the amazing singing lead of the world-famous diva, Linda Watson. In Season 2023, in February, she maked her debut as the Queen of the Night in the opera The Magic Flute at the State Theater in Košice. Also in March, she appeared in the title role of Maria Stuarda in another belcanto work Maria Stuarda by Gaetano Donizetti at the Vorarlberger Landestheater in Bregenz, Austria.

In august 2023 she sung the role of Queen of the Night in the National Operahouse in Budapest. The completion of the 2023 season was the third Tudor role of Anna Bolena in a row for her, in the opera Anna Bolena written by Gaetano Donizetti.

The end of the 2023, for the artist were The 3 New Year's Eve operetta concerts at the Slovak Philharmonic in Bratislava under the baton of conductor Peter Valentovič.

In the season in january 2024 she sung the role of Olympia wrote by Ľubica Čekovská, Impresario Dotcom in the National Theater in Slovakia. In the same season, in May 2024, the artist continuously will sing the role of Queen of the Night in The National Theater in Brno. 

In 2024 she founded together with her husband Jozef Katrák a project called : Ewita's Royal Vocal Masterclass - International, the 1st year of which was held in the Betliar Manor in Slovakia. In the same year, the soprano will make her debut with the role of Katrena from Eugen Suchoň' s opera Krútňava / Whirpool / under the baton of Peter Valentovič at the National Theatre in Košice on 29 and 30 November 2024.

Junge Sopranistin Eva Katráková Bodorová ist Absolventin von Staatskonservatorium in Bratislava und studiert an der Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Bratislava. Während des Studiums am Konservatorium nahm sie erfolgreich am internationalen Wettbewerb Iuventus Canti (2014) in Vráble teil, wo sie absolute Siegerin wurde und den Preis für die beste Interpretation des Werkes des 21. Jahrhunderts gewann. Nach diesem Erfolg gewann sie auch den Konservatorien-Wettbewerb in Bratislava. Mit Erfolg nahm sie auch am Hans - Gabor - Belvedere - Gesangswettbewerb, sowie am internationalen Wettbewerb "Neue Stimmen" teil.

Nach dem Studiumabschluss und erfolgreichen Vorsingen wurde sie für zwei Jahre Stipendiatin im Opernstudio der Deutschen Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf. Ihr Debut wurde Rolle der Priesterin in Verdis Oper Aida / Regie : Philipp Himmelmann, musikalische Leitung Axel Kober/Aziz Shokhakimov. Sie wirkte als Bühnenpartnerin weltbekannter Solisten wie Boris Statsenko und Morenike Fadayomi. Ihre nächste Rolle in Düsseldorf - Duisburg war Barbarina in Mozarts Hochzeit des Figaro. In der Saison 2015/2016 sang sie Rolle der ersten Nonne in Prokofjews Feurigem Engel. Anschliessend stellte sie sich als Echo in der Oper Ariadne auf Naxos vor, unter der Leitung von Wen-Pin Chien. Des weiteren folgte die Rolle der Prinzessin in Korsakows Oper Der goldene Hahn, in der Regie von Dmitrij Bertman. Nächste Rolle war Gräfin Ceprano in der Oper Rigoletto.Im Laufe von zwei Jahren, die sie im Opernstudio verbrachte, absolvierte Eva Bodorova zahlreiche Gesangskurse. Es kam demnächst zu ihrem Debut als Königin der Nacht in Mozarts Oper Die Zauberflöte.Nach dem Abschluss der Tätigkeit im Opernstudio absolvierte sie viele Konzertreisen in Österreich, Schweiz, Polen, Ungarn und Tschechien.In tschechischem Pardubice trat sie unter der Leitung von Peter Feranec in Mozarts Requiem auf. Im Jahre 2017 absolvierte sie Konzerte in Pesaro, Bergamo, Bologna, Venedig sowie in Verdis Geburtsstadt Le Roncole. 

In der Saison 2017/2018 debutierte sie im Slowakischen Nationaltheater mit der Rolle der Constanze in der Mozarts Oper Entführung aus dem Serail / Regie : Ján Ďurovčík, musikalische Leitung : Peter Valentovič.Eva Bodorova sang mit grossem Erfolg die Rolle der Olympia in der Oper Hoffmanns Erzählungen von J. Offenbach in Slowakischem Nationaltheater / Regie : Pavol Smolík, musikalische Leitung : Tomáš Brauner.In der Saison 2020/2021 stellt sie sich dann als Fiordiligi in Mozarts Oper Cosi fan tutte vor.Und nicht zuletzt in der Weltpremiere der Oper von Ľubica Čekovská : Impresario, bei den Bregenzer Festspielen, wo die Sopranistin die Hauptrolle singen wird. Im Jahre 2018 nahm die Sopranistin am Internationalen - Antonín - Dvořák - Wettbewerb in Karlovy Vary teil, wo sie Finalistin wurde. 

Sie wurde die absolute Siegerin des Franz Lehár-Wettbewerbs in Komárno im Jahr 2019 und nahm an dem Galakonzert im Opernhaus in Budapest teil. Sie wurde auch die absolute Siegerin, Presträgerin des 1. Preises des Erzsébet Házy-Gesangswettbewerbs in Nové Zámky im Jahr 2019. Vor kurzem wurde sie Absolute Siegerin des SHARON RESCH AWARD-Wettbewerbs in Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA, wo sie sich in einem Wettbewerb mit 150 Sängern durchsetzen konnte. Nach dem aussergewöhnlichen Erfolg auf der Bregenzer Festspielen, bekam Künstlerin das exklusive Angebot, unter der Leitung von Tomáš Netopil, diese Rolle im März 2021 auch im Aalto Theater Essen zu debutieren. 

Ein wichtiger Karrierebeitrag in der Saison 2020/2021 war eine Alternation mit der Operndiva Edita Gruberová sowie das Debüt der Sopranistin in der Rolle der Königin Elisabeth in der Oper von Roberto Devereux (Gaetano Donizetti) am Staatstheater in Košice. In der Spielzeit 2021/22 spielte die Künstlerin mehrere Titelrollen, darunter die Figur "Mary" in der Jazz-Operette von Imre Kálmán Herzogin von Chicago unter der Leitung von Peter Valentovič. Wir dürfen das Debütkonzert im MUPA in Budapest nicht vergessen, wo Eva Bodorová in der Sopranpartie von Mahlers 8. Symphonie auftrat. In derselben Spielzeit ergab sich eine wunderbare Gelegenheit im Rahmen der Zusammenarbeit mit der Budapester Oper / Erkel Színház, wo auch Eva Bodorová die Möglichkeit haben wird, in der Rolle der "Königin der Nacht" zu debütieren. Sie debütiert erneut mit der Rolle der "Königin der Nacht" (W. A. ​​​​Mozart). Sie absolvierte eine Japan-Tournee mit der Budapester Oper, wo sie auch die Gelegenheit hatte, unter der Leitung des Dirigenten János Kovács in der Rolle der "Königin der Nacht" zu debütieren. Im selben Monat, im Oktober 2022, sang sie auch die Rolle der Olympia aus der Oper des 21. Jahrhunderts von Ľubica Čekovská, Impresario Dotcom im Slowakischen Nationaltheater in Bratislava. In dieser Saison präsentierte sie sich zeitgleich im Januar 2022 beim Neujahrskonzert in der Slowakischen Philharmonie, bei dem in kontinuierlicher Zusammenarbeit mit Maestro Peter Valentovič Operettenwerke von Emmerich Kálmán, Franz Lehár und G. Verdi aufgeführt wurden. Die Künstlerin erlebte einen großen Erfolg in Passau, wo sie ebenso in der Rolle der Königin Elisabeth I. aus der Oper Roberto Devereux (G. Donizetti) debütierte. Ihr Debüt mit dieser Rolle gab sie im März in der Saison 2022 am Ständetheater Prag, wo sie beim Musiktheaterfestival 2022 den prestigeträchtigen Kritikerpreis "Libuška" gewann. Ihre enorm wachsende Karriere ist auch eng mit der Zusammenarbeit mit der großartigen Sängerin der weltberühmten Diva Linda Watson verbunden. In der Saison 2023 debütierte sie im Februar in der Hauptrolle der Königin der Nacht in der Oper "Die Zauberflöte" am Nationaltheater in Košice. Im März desselben Jahres trat sie in der Titelrolle der Maria Stuarda in einem weiteren Belcanto-Werk von Gaetano Donizetti, Maria Stuarda, am Vorarlberger Landestheater in Bregenz auf. Den Abschluss der Saison 2023 bildete die dritte Tudor-Rolle der Anna Bolena in der Oper Anna Bolena von Gaetano Donizetti, die im Juni 2023 ebenfalls am Nationaltheater in Košice uraufgeführt wurde. Die Saison 2023 beendete die Künstlerin mit drei Silvester-Operettenkonzerten in der Slowakischen Philharmonie in Bratislava unter der Leitung des Dirigenten Peter Valentovič. In der Spielzeit 2024 präsentierte sich wiederum als Olympia in der Oper Impresario Dotcom von Ľubica Čekovská am Slowakischen Nationaltheater in Bratislava. In den folgenden Monaten derselben Saison sing die Sopranistin weiterhin die Rolle der Königin der Nacht am Nationaltheater in Brünn. 

Im Jahr 2024 gründete sie zusammen mit ihrem Ehemann Jozef Katrák ein Projekt: Internationale Gesangsmeisterkurse mit dem Namen: Ewita's Royal Vocal Masterclass - International, dessen erstes Jahr im Schloss Betliar in der Slowakei stattfand. Im selben Jahr wird die Sopranistin ihr Debüt mit der Rolle der Katrena aus Eugen Suchoňs Oper Krútňava unter der Leitung von Petr Valentovič am 29. und 30. November 2024 am Nationaltheater in Košice geben.

Mladá sopranistka Eva Katráková Bodorová pochádza zo Slovenska a je absolventkou Štátneho konzervatória v Bratislave. Svoje bakalárske štúdium ukončila na Vysokej škole múzických umení v Bratislave. V mnohých súťažiach získala 1. cenu, okrem iného aj na súťaži Slovenských konzervatórií. Počas štúdia na konzervatóriu sa zúčastnila na Medzinárodnej súťaži Imricha Godina Iuventus Canti vo Vrábľoch (2014), kde sa stala absolútnou víťazkou a získala tiež Cenu za najlepšiu interpretáciu diela z 21. storočia. Po tomto úspechu zvíťazila na súťaži konzervatórií v Bratislave.

S úspechom sa zúčastnila tiež na Speváckej súťaži Hansa Gábora vo viedenskom Belvederi a na Medzinárodnej súťaži Neue Stimmen v Berlíne.

Po ukončení štúdií vyhrala konkurz, na základe ktorého získala dvojročné štipendium v opernom štúdiu súboru Deutsche Oper am Rhein v Düsseldorfe. Jej debutom sa tu stala rola Kňažky vo Verdiho opere Aida (réžia Philipp Himmelmann, hudobné vedenie Axel Kober a Aziz Shokhakimov) po boku svetoznámych sólistov Borisa Staatsenka a Morenike Fadayomi. Po úspechoch na doskách Deutsche Oper am Rhein v Düsseldorfe i v Duisburgu sa predstavila aj ako Barbarina v Mozartovej Figarovej svadbe. V sezóne 2015/2016 spievala úlohu Prvej mníšky v hudobnej dráme Sergeja Prokofieva Ohnivý anjel. Následne sa predstavila ako Echo v opere Ariadna na Naxe, ktorú dirigoval medzinárodne uznávaný dirigent Wen-Pin Chien. Ďalej umelkyňa stvárnila rolu Šemachánskej princeznej v opere Zlatý kohútik, inscenáciu ktorej naštudoval významný ruský režisér Dmitrij Bertman. Ďalšou úlohou, v ktorej sa speváčka úspešne prezentovala, bola Grófka Ceprano z opery Rigoletto (G. Verdi). Počas dvoch rokov strávených v opernom štúdiu Deutsche Oper am Rhein absolvovala umelkyňa niekoľko speváckych kurzov. Zakrátko sa predstavila aj ako Kráľovná noci v Mozartovej opere Čarovná flauta.

Po skončení štúdia sopranistka absolvovala niekoľko koncertných turné po Rakúsku, Švajčiarsku, Poľsku, Maďarsku a Česku. V českých Pardubiciach sa prezentovala v Mozartovom Requiem pod taktovkou Petra Feranca. Roku 2017 absolvovala koncerty v Pesare, v Bergame, Bologni, v Benátkach i v rodnom meste G. Verdiho - Le Roncole.

V sezóne 2017/2018 debutovala na scéne Opery SND rolou Konstanze v opere Únos zo serailu (W. A. Mozart) v réžii Jána Ďurovčíka a pod hudobným vedením dirigenta Petra Valentoviča.

V roku 2018 sa dostala do finále Medzinárodnej súťaže Antonína Dvořáka v Karlových Varoch. Ďalej sa predstavila s veľkým úspechom v roli Olympie v opere J. Offenbacha, Hoffmanove poviedky v Slovenskom národnom divadle / réžia Pavol Smolík, dirigent Tomáš Brauner. Dostala exkluzívnu ponuku stvárniť hlavnú rolu v svetovej premiére slovenskej opery od Ľubice Čekovskej Impresario Dotcom, v rámci Bregenzer Festspiele. Stala sa Absolútnou víťazkou na Súťaži Franza Lehára v Komárne v roku 2019spojenou s účasťou na galakoncerte v operetnom divadle v Budapešti. Taktiež sa stala Absolútnou víťazkou, držiteľkou 1. miesta na medzinárodnej speváckej súťaži Erzsébet Házy v Nových Zámkoch za rok 2019. Je Absolútnou víťazkou prestížnej súťaže SHARON RESCH AWARD v Green Bay v americkom Wisconsine, kde bravúrne obstála v konkurencii 150 spevákov.

Veľkým kariérnym prínosom v sezóne 2020/2021 bola alternácia s opernou divou Editou Grúberovou a zároveň sopranistkin debut v roli kráľovnej Alžbety v opere Roberto Devereux ( Gaetano Donizetti ), v Národnom divadle Košice.

V sezóne 2021/22 sa umelkyňa predstavila vo viacerých titulných rolách ako sú postava "Mary" v Jazz-operete Imre Kálmána Vojvodkyňa z Chicaga pod taktovkou Petra Valentoviča. Nemôžme opomenúť debutový koncert v MUPA, v Budapešti kde sa Eva Katráková Bodorová predstavila v sopránovom parte Mahlerovej 8. symfónii. V tejto istej sezóne sa naskytla úžasná možnosť v rámci spolupráce s Budapeštianskou Operou / Erkel Színház, kde Eva Katráková Bodorová s veľkým nasadením debutovala rolou "Kráľovnej noci" (W. A. Mozart). Absolvovala japonské turné s Operou Budapešť, kde mala možnosť tiež debutovať ohľadom role "Kráľovnej noci" pod taktovkou dirigenta Jánosa Kovácsa. V tom istom mesiaci, v októbri 2022, zaspievala aj postavu Olympie z opery 21. storočia Ľubice Čekovskej, Impresario Dotcom v Slovenskom národnom divadle v Bratislave. V tejto sezóne, zároveň v januári 2022 sa skrz nepretržitej spolupráci s maestrom Petrom Valentovičom prezentovala na Novoročnom koncerte, kde odzneli operetné diela Emmericha Kálmána, Franza Lehára, G. Verdiho. Umelkyňa zožala obrovský úspech v Nemeckom Passau, kde tiež debutovala rolou Kráľovnej Alžbety I. z opery Roberto Devereux (G. Donizetti). Touto rolou debutovala v marci v sezóne 2022 v Pražskom Stavovskom divadle kde získala prestížnu Cenu Kritiky "Libuška" na Festivale hudobného Divadla 2022.

Jej enormne narastajúca kariéra je úzko spätá i so spoluprácou úžasného speváckeho vedenia svetoznámej divy, Lindy Watson.

V sezóne 2023 vo februári debutovala hlavnou rolou Kráľovnej noci v opere Čarovná flauta v Národnom divadle Košice. V marci toho istého roku sa predstavila v titulnej postave Marie Stuardovny z ďalšieho belcantového diela Maria Stuarda od Gaetana Donizettiho v rakúskom Vorarlberger Landestheater v Bregenzi. Zavŕšením sezóny 2023 bolo pre ňu v poradí už tretia tudorovská postava Anny Bolejnovej v opere Anna Bolena od Gaetana Donizettiho ktorej premiéra bola v júni 2023 tiež v Národnom divadle Košice.

Sezónu 2023 umelkyňa zakončila tromi Silvestrovsko-novoročnými operetnými koncertami v Slovenskej filharmónii v Bratislave pod taktovkou dirigenta Petra Valentoviča.

V sezóne 2024 sa umelkyňa prezentovala rolou Olympie v opere Impresario Dotcom od Ľubice Čekovskej v Slovenskom národnom divadle v Bratislave. V nasledujúcich mesiacoch tejto istej sezóny sa umelkyňa naďalej venuje roli Kráľovnej noci v Národnom divadle v Brne. 

V roku 2024 založila spolu so svojím manželom Jozefom Katrákom projekt : medzinárodné majstrovské spevácke kurzy s názvom : Ewita´ s Royal Vocal Masterclass - International, ktorých 1. ročník sa konal v kaštieli Betliar na Slovensku. V tomto istom roku sopranistka debutuje rolou Katreny z opery Krútňava od Eugena Suchoňa pod taktovkou Petra Valentoviča v Národnom divadle v Košiciach 29 a 30. novembra 2024.
